| COMMENTARY |
As I speak of, Jewels,
Champions and Beauty, when I gazed into the face of Safanad's third foal
by Asfour and her sixth consecutive offspring - my eyes filled with tears
and I felt speechless. The horse is the phenomenal, Simeon Sadik. These
days the expression "living art" is bandied around quite often but the
sheer breed quality of this fantastic Arabian takes one back to a time
where wars, murder and stealing were waged in order to aquire a treasured
horse. "A Horse, a Horse - my kingdom for a Horse!" To me, this is Simeon
Sadik!
Sadik was born in 1989 and is Safanad's first black foal. He would have
to be one of the most talked about stallions you could find. He had an
illustrious show career in Australia with an Australian Junior Championship
plus may other prestigious awards before making the headlines once again
all over the world by being sold to Halsdon Arabians in the UK. Simeon
Sadik leaves a wonderful legacy with his progeny in Australia carving
out a special niche linking them with his now quite outstanding, overseas
offspring. |
