| COMMENTARY |
Parnassos has three
of the best racing mares in his pedigree: Forta, Orla and Piewica. His
mare line is Gazella II (inkludes Orla as well). Rusznica was imported
to Sweden by Blommeröd. Her brother Alabaster was record holder in Poland
till just recently and her racing son Ruszt (by Czort) was exported to
America. Further, Parnassos pedigree includes 2xCzort (3xForta), 2xProbat,
18xOfir and 7 times Kuhailan Zaid (black lines). He also has 7 old French
lines (3xEleonora, 3xForta and 1xTaktika).
He is now eight years old and has had a carrier beyond all my dreams.
In 2001 he was named Swedish Race Champion and set up a new Swedish record
on 1000 m (5 fl) on the time of 1.06.2. Both 2002 and 2003 he has been
the second best Swedish Arabian race horse in both placings and money.
During 2003 he has proven himself and really shown his strength. He set
up a Swedish record on 1400 m (7 fl) on 1.32.2 weight 53 kilos (116.8).
As a final performance 2003, he completed his season with an Endurance
competition, 10 days after his last race. He placed 3rd on
the time of 16.2 km/hour.
Parnassos has been racing 5 seasons. 39 (11-8-6-4-2). His absolutely best
performance ever, was without any doubts his 1200 m (6 fl) last summer.
He carried 59 kilos (152.1 lbs) and was beaten with a neck on the same
time, 1.19.3 as the winner who carried 56 kilos (123.457 lbs).
Parnassos has raced distances from 5 fl to 12 fl. In his 12 fl (2.400
m) he was 2nd on 2.45.8, 0,5 length after the winner (2.45.7).
His strength has been proven. He has raced 39 times, so far, in the highest
classes and one Endurance competition and has never been lame or had any
leg problems at all. He is still in training. |
