As an individual... WA Pejczyk ( pronounced pay-check ) is the epitome of beauty and athleticism. He is built on a foundation of faultless legs with a deep, well set shoulder. He is powered by a tremendous hip, that maximizes his performance abilities. He has a wonderfully refined neck: extremely flexible and well hinged. He has a handsome face with large soft eyes and striking blaze. His freedom and forward motion is patent *Europejczyk, his sire. Despite these tremendous attributes, however, his most endearing quality is his quiet, gentle, and patient disposition.
Pejczyk has garnered numerous championships in halter due to his solid conformation. He has also been named Champion in his only showing in Sport Horse in Hand.
From a performance perspective, Pejczyk demonstrated his racing talent over the course of four seasons. During his career he started in races ranging from 5 1/2 furlongs to a mile. In the last three seasons, he finished off the board only twice. 2002 was definitely his best performances, finishing second in the first out, narrowly missing the win, and a commanding win in the next start. Perhaps the most impressive fact of Pejczyk's racing is that he ran his entire career sound and medication free! There are few modern stallions that can make such a claim.
As a sire... Pejczyk has consistently passed on his disposition, superb structure with deep hip, laid back shoulder, upright well-hinged neck and large expressive eyes. Pejczyk has sired Breeders Cup and Class A Champions in the halter ring, and Regional Champion in Sport Horse in Hand. The first foals have started under saddle and are showing great promise in both the show ring and on the track. Pejczyk has sired Class A Champion in Hunter Pleasure, and Colorado Breeders Cup Champions in Hunter Pleasure and Western Pleasure.
From a pedigree standpoint... his sire, the immortal *Europejczyk, was bred by Janów Podlaski State Stud, Poland. *Europejczyk was undefeated on the track, including winning six stakes races. After leaving the track for the show ring, he went onto to be named 1988 Polish National Champion. He is the result of his sire El Paso (US National Champion Stallion) and his dam Europa, (Polish National Champion) thought by the Poles to be one of the finest *Bandos daughters ever. As a sire, *Europejczyk produced champions at halter, performance and racing on three continents.
Pejczyk's dam, Phyllan, is one of our foundation mares and offers one of the finest and oldest Polish Kuhailan sire line of Kryzyk. Her pedigree also includes the beauty of the double Nabor cross of her dam, DS Kohana. Pyllan's dam line, Sahara through Mokdiara and her granddaughter Diaspora, is well respected in Polish breeding. She is by the tremendous race and English Pleasure sire *Bancock. Phyllan's 7/8 brother set a track record in California. |
